Modbus Kya Hai? (What is Modbus?)
Modbus ek communication protocol hai jise Schneider Electric (pehle jise Modicon kaha jata tha) ne develop kiya tha. Isiliye iska naam Modbus pada. Ye ek serial line data communication hai, jo RS-232, Ethernet, aur RS-485 jaise hardware interfaces ka use karta hai.
Serial line communication ka matlab hai ki ek time par sirf ek bit transmit aur receive hoti hai. Isme ek sath multiple bits bhejne ka option nahi hota, isliye serial communication parallel communication se thoda slow hota hai.
Modbus Master-Slave format par kaam karta hai. Yani isme ek Master device hota hai (jaise PLC), jo baaki Slave devices (jaise VFDs, Sensors) se data request karta hai. Slaves respond karte hain aur master ko data bhejte hain.
Ek standard Modbus network me maximum 247 slave devices connect kiye ja sakte hain. Data transmission me error detection ke liye har Modbus message ke end me CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Code) add kiya jata hai. Iske do main formats hote hain:
- Modbus RTU: Binary format me use hota hai.
- Modbus ASCII: ASCII text format me use hota hai.
Profibus Kya Hai? (What is Profibus?)
Profibus ka full form Process (Pro) Field (Fi) Bus hai aur isko Siemens ne develop kiya tha. Profibus ko aap Modbus ka ek advanced aur extended version maan sakte hain.
Iske do main types hote hain:
- Profibus DP (Decentralized Peripherals): Machine automation aur fast data communication ke liye.
- Profibus PA (Process Automation): Process automation ke liye jahan explosion-proof environment ki zaroorat hoti hai.
Profibus ko jo cheez sabse alag banati hai wo hai iska Multi-Master mode. Modbus me sirf ek master ho sakta hai, jabki Profibus me ek additional token-ring protocol ki madad se multiple masters network me ho sakte hain. Slaves tab tak wait karte hain jab tak master unse data na maange. Agar unko time par request nahi milti, toh wo hibernate mode me chale jate hain.
